Sri Satchanalaï


The temple Wat Chang Lom in Sri Satchanalaï, was built from 1285 to 1291. Its stupa, in stucco and laterite, is decorated at the base with 39 heads of elephant which gave it its name " the temple surrounded by elephants ". The higher terrace supported statues of Buddhas, meditating in niches.
